Starz is currently seeking a Research Assistant to support the Insight and Analytics department. The ideal candidate is organized, ambitious, analytical, and is interested in getting hands on experience with an innovative insights team in the entertainment industry. Responsibilities Assist department head and senior department managers with various administrative tasks: scheduling meetings, booking travel, submitting expense reports, etc. Assist department with team member onboarding, IT support coordination, supply management, and other administrative tasks Manage department accruals, invoice processing, and assist with budgeting Assist team with data collection and processing tasks Perform research on various topics related to the entertainment industry Create documents presenting basic consumer research findings Build/Design visually compelling client facing presentations Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience. Prior experience in administrative and/or analytical roles Prior experience working with budgets Extremely organized with strong attention to detail Strong communication skills Ability to work effectively with all levels of management Independent self-starter who embraces a team-oriented and collaborative approach Interest in television/entertainment Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel Prior experience in research, analytics or similar role type (i.e. undergraduate class, internship or related with a national TV network or streaming service) a plus Understanding of data structures and experience ingesting, cleaning, and loading large datasets a plus Experience working with S3, Snowflake, Google Big Query, or other data storage systems a significant plus Experience with Nielsen systems (including myEvnts, Npower,) and other media research sources (such as Vision Critical, Qualtrics, MRI and comScore) a plus Experience with Graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign a plus Experience with Tableau or other data visualization products a plus Experience with SAP, Salesforce or other finance tools a plus Starz ( www.starz.com ), a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), is a leading global media and entertainment company that produces and distributes premium streaming content to worldwide audiences across subscription television platforms.
